Headteacher Mrs Wendy Whitehouse

On behalf of our entire school community, I wish to warmly welcome you to Hornton Primary School. My aim, as Headteacher, is to provide the children with a breadth of opportunity where every individual’s ‘best’ is acknowledged and celebrated. I enjoy challenging children, enabling them to learn, grow, and achieve both academically and personally.

Our children are at the heart of every decision, and our positive and vibrant learning environment is crafted to encourage each child to maximise their potential.

We are fortunate to have a team of staff and governors who are extremely dedicated and genuinely want the best for all our children. We strive to offer a broad, all-rounded education where pastoral care, excellent teaching, and a strong emphasis on core values are essential components.

Visitors to our school consistently praise our values-based education, the engaging environment, and our inclusive, nurturing family ethos.  They describe our atmosphere as friendly, respectful, and nurturing. We care deeply about the well-being and development of each individual and take pride in fostering a community where all our pupils feel valued.
