Welcome to Hornton Primary School

Hornton Primary School is small village primary school situated in the heart of the rolling hills of the North Oxfordshire countryside. We believe in nurturing young minds through enquiry and discovery, challenging expectations and building on excellence.

There has been a school in Hornton since 1613, when John Fox left a half yard of land for a school master to teach 3 children in the village. Today his vision lives on; we have 105 students and 14 members of staff who believe, as John Fox did, that the children of Hornton and the surrounding villages deserve the very best education.

Our school values drive us forward. We live by them and they make us who we are. We believe Hornton Primary School is a special place because of them. Our values represent us and they are Humility, Perseverance and Self-belief.
