Buchan House

Named after John Buchan, 1st Baron of Tweedsmuir. Buchan is author of the 39 Steps and many others stories. He was also a Scottish lawyer, politician and served as governor general of Canada representing 3 different Kings. While at Oxford he served as the president of The Oxford Union and in 1896 he won the Newdigate Prize for poetry.

There are currently 18 students in Buchan House.
